Festive Fundraising
The committee would like to take the opportunity to thank all those players, coaches, parents and friends who took part in all the fundraising activities leading up to and over the festive period. Each of the events that were organised was very successful.
The Christmas Party/Quiz Night raised around £125 which is very good as it was not intended to be a major fundraiser but more a social gathering, which in itself was extremely successful.
The Grand Christmas Raffle made a profit of just under £1400 which is a brilliant effort for a first attempt. This sets us a great target for future events.
The ASDA Bag Pack was the biggest winner over the period netting us over £2000. A massive effort from all concerned and we even surprised ourselves.
The above shows that with a bit of effort and commitment in the right areas does reap the reward and it is hoped that very shortly we will be putting these well needed funds to good use and that you will be seeing the benefits of your efforts.
What’s to Come
There are still a couple of fundraising/social events to come before the end of the season and we hope you will give these as much support as you have done previously. Volunteers are required to assist in the organisation, so if you can help don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Race Night to be held in Duddingston Golf Club around March/April.
BasketballScotland Raffle This annual raffle allows us to keep 50% of whatever we sell which given our Christmas income looks quite favourable.
Gala Awards Night To be held at the end of the season where we can hopefully celebrate the most successful year yet in the Club’s history. A great social occasion where we can reward those that have been most successful throughout the season.
Once again, thank you for you efforts and in anticipation of your continued commitment the committee would like to wish everyone involved with the Club a Happy, Prosperous and Successful 2007.
Physiotherapy Times
