BHS nominates Aberdeenshire yard for outstanding performance
Hogholm Farm Stables, Kintore, has been nominated by the British Horse Society (BHS) Regional Inspector for ‘Outstanding Performance’ for the second year in the award’s existence. Only six establishments were nominated country-wide, with Hogholm being the sole Scottish yard to exceed the normal inspection criteria and achieve nomination.

Gordon Dressage Group member Lorna Anderson, who owns the yard, says: “It’s
a wonderful public acknowledgement by our professional body of the quality of our staff, our clients, our equine care and our facilities. Staff and clients alike are thrilled by this nomination, which has been described by a client as really well deserved and a great reflection of all the hard work done by everyone working at Hogholm.”

Hogholm Farm Stables was established in 1995 and now accommodates 26 horses in purpose-built American barns, on a modern yard with first-class indoor and outdoor training facilities. Regular dressage and saddlery clinics are held, and great emphasis is placed on teamwork.

Hogholm Farm Stables has been a BHS Approved Livery Yard since the Approvals scheme began in 2003, and also became a BHS Approved Facility Hire in 2010. To find out more about the scheme,
