Open Day at Grayswood- 2008

On 15th June the Club held its first Open Day at which nearly 70 people attended including many families. Club members were on hand to give advice and assistance to land fish up to 7 pounds. A Barbeque was available throughout the day with donations totaling over £150 given to a local charity "The Ben Williams Trust". New members were enroled and a great day was had by all. The committee wishes to thank everybody for attending and to those who helped with the event and especially the Grayshott Tackle Shop who provided rods and bait for the day.

2. Grayswood Institute has a great Day in the Sun

Grayshott Angling Club opened its waters to the Grayswood Institute on 21st September 08. The bright and sunny autum afternoon saw the visitors welcomed to the Grayswood Lake with bacon sandwiches and tea prepared by Bridget Frye. Once set up and with a little local knowlege they were soon into the fish, albeit distracted by the food and sunshine.

At stake was a trophy for the biggest haul........won by Hanah (13yrs) and Josh (14yrs), helped a little by Mick Howson of the Institute, with 26 lbs, putting us more experienced fishermen to the sword. Their winning total being assisted by an 8 lbs Mirror Carp.

This fun day was enjoyed by all and hopefully will be repeated............More photos to follow
