Monopolar Laparoscopy Electrodes with Exchangeable Tips

Monopolar High Frequency Electrodes are commonly used in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) for preparation, coagulation and cutting of tissue. In these applications significant mechanical and thermal strain can cause increased wear and tear of such electrodes when designed the conventional way.

Now a new concept to tackle the problem of increased wear and tear caused by thermal strain:
A variety of exchangeable electrode tip inserts can be easily used in the same robust and durable handle. When these tips are worn out, they can cost effectively be replaced by new ones.

Simple electrode exchange

By turning the serrated wheel on the handle, the electrode tip is released and can easily be removed from the shaft. Thereby a quick, trouble free and cost effective exchange of the part is enabled. So why replace the whole instrument if, generally it is only the electrode tip that which has been worn out by the thermal strain?

Easy cleaning

The durable handle can be easily dismantled. The three parts can be cleaned and resterilized without any problems. All parts are made of durable materials, which have all proven thousands of times their suitability for medical applications.
