Text Box: This type of pump needs to be continuously fed with service liquid during operation  to remove the heat from compression and maintain the liquid ring as part of it is discharged with the gas.  The service liquid may be separated from the gas into a discharge separator and re-circulated, either partially or totally Pumping Speeds from 400 to 1950 cubic meters per hour, and pressures down to 33mbar can be obtained.  this can be improved further with a gas ejector, the pump is capable of reaching 10mbar. Text Box: Pumping Curves Text Box: Given capacity values are for dry air at the 20°C, atmospheric pressure s taken to be 1013 mbar, service liquid used is water at 15°C.  Alterations can occur when working conditions change.  For instance, changes of the physical properties of the pumped gas or service liquid (vapour pressure, temperature, specific gravity, viscosity), combination among different types of gas and vapours are factors which might determine heavy impacts on the nominal capacity.  Pumps in AISI 316 execution are 10% less performing compared to the curve capacity values.  Selected motor power is based on the standard operating conditions.  In case of a higher power demand, it is possible to install the next motor size.  In order to achieve a deeper vacuum, a gas ejector can be installed ahead of the pump; it operates by taking advantage of the pressure difference created by the pump with no need of a high energy motive fluid.  The maximum suction pressure which can be reached is about 10 mbar.  The ejector should be used below 40 mbar.
