Recent & forthcoming service changes

From 12 July 2009
21 & 31 (Sunday) Following Halton Council's recent decision to withdraw their most of their financial subsidy for the sections of Sunday services 21 & 31 within Halton, the three authorities that support the service (Halton / Warrington / Cheshire) have now decided to reduce the service (and so reduce costs) by eliminating most of the mileage within Halton. The changes are ...

- The two hourly service from Widnes and Runcorn Old Town to Frodsham and Chester is lost, although a couple of journeys will continue to operate to or from Widnes.

- The hourly service from Halton Lea to Frodsham and Chester reduces to every 2 hours

- No service will operate via Halton Road and Halton Brow (every 2 hours at present)

- No service will operate via Moore and Sandymoor (every 2 hours at present)

- No service will operate via Beechwood Avenue (every 2 hours at present)

- An hourly Sunday daytime service is retained between Frodsham, Helsby and Chester.

- Minor retimings and re-routing on Warrington journeys.

- All journeys will be numbered 31 or 31A.
