Saxton Mee is one of South Yorkshire’s leading estate agencies with offices across the region and into Derbyshire. It was no surprise then that after modernising their corporate identity that the company turned to Hanson Contracts to do the transformation job to some of their offices. The Ecclesall Road branch at Banner Cross where two adjacent offices were occupied, had a total interior and external makeover.

The office at Bakewell, illustrates how in a traditional area, the original shop front can be subtly enhanced to strengthen the brand.

The photographs illustrate how the warmth of wood can be utilised despite the necessary functionality of an estate agency office, where many properties are on display simultaneously. Lighting too has been part of the ambiance change that has transformed the interior into one of smart, efficient but not formal.

Blundells Makeover

Blundells estate agency is the largest estate agency chain in the Sheffield area and operate from a lot of offices in order to maintain their customer service. Most of their shops are located in shopping districts. When they were opened, a basic job in signing the building and constructing the brochure stands will have been put in place. Although desks and carpets will have been maintained as all the offices had visiting members of the public, and little else.
Hanson Contracts were originally asked to do the main office in Campo Lane. The project involved a complete purpose built lining of walls, change of lighting and new furniture inside, and a new presentation of the corporate identity of Blundells was established outside.

The conclusion of the estate agency directors after the office had been completed can be illustrated by the fact that Hanson Contracts have been steadily working their way through the branch network ever since!
