The Community Association is run by a group of local residents from Hatch Warren, Beggarwood and Kemphott Rise. They give up they time to help run the Association and Centre for the local community.
This can range from stewarding at the Fireworks, drawing pints at the Beer Festival and deciding what food to supply at the Lager Festival. Some decisions have been more complex than this and we have recently installed new heating and are considering how to improve the accoustics of the main hall. The Committee meetings are once every two months and we would very much wish to welcome new members.
This is one of the brightest community halls in Basingstoke. We have a lovely modern building that has been completly refurbished in the last 4 years. The rooms comprise of one large main hall with wooden sprung floor, a long function room called the Lounge and a smaller room called the Conservatory. The building also has a fully equipped kitchen and storage cupboards for regular users. A small enclosed garden and patio area can be used for refreshments or for BBQ parties.
The Centre offers adaptable accommodation for many differing needs which includes wedding receptions; private parties and community groups such as keep fit classes, line dancing, WI and the Scouting and Guiding organisations.
Hatch Warren Community Centre is a modern purpose built community centre located in the centre of Hatch Warren. It was constructed in 1992 by Hatch Warren Ltd a subsidiary of the Grainger Trust plc. A steering group was initially set up and the Hatch Warren Community Association formed in 1993. The Centre is owned by BDBC and leased to the Community Association.
