co-founder of practice
Terry became interested in architecture whilst working as an architectural model maker. He studied building construction on a day release course and worked as an architectural technician for leading architectural practices such as Manning & Clamp and Darbourn & Darke on award winning housing scheme. Terry became a full time student of architecture in 1972 at The Architectural Association School of Architecture.
After graduating in 1977 he worked for large London practices on department stores, housing, schools and offices. Terry became a sole practitioner in 1982 mainly working on one off houses and other domestic projects. In 1986 Terry and Joe formed the practice in Goodge Place.
Terry’s buildings combine good design backed up with sound construction knowledge. The result is buildings that are not only good to look at but are also a pleasure to use and easy to build.
In addition to full time architectural practice Terry is a Trustee of Strawberry Hill House; Horace Walpole’s 18th Century home that launched the gothic revival in Britain.
