HISTORY
Formed as a Co-operative in 1985 by a group of local Black Social Workers in Newham, Home from Home became a registered Housing Association in 1991.
The Association aims to cater for a variety of needs within the community. Managing temporary accommodation for homeless families, providing supported housing for young mothers. Providing general needs housing to families on the housing waiting list
Although the direction has gradually changed towards permanent housing, there remains a commitment to explore other areas of ‘special need' within the community, such as the elderly and older single households.
