Darkness
Darkness is still in early development. Crossbeam Studios Entertainment are focusing their efforts on the video game Orb, however, they occasionally take time off to brainstorm for ideas on Darkness. Greg Nichols is the lead designer of Darkness and he occasionally gives additional insights into his plans for the game on the CSE forum under the username, "TheLastBoyscout".
Story
You play as the potential savior of mankind in a world overrun by vampires. After facing defeat against the vampires, humans now hide in the sewers. Using your sword, martial arts abilities, and new people found along the way you try to save mankind while learning about your estranged father and the secrets within you.
Gameplay
CSE has stated that Darkness is likely to receive an M rating. It has been described as "Zelda meeting Resident Evil." They plan to fully utilize the Wii's controller and "nunchaku" attachment. CSE has announced that Darkness will have the following features:
* Two playable characters involved in an epic, dark, macabre storyline
* Multiple combat strategies per character.
* 32 areas, including massive cities, desert wastelands, and mountain temples.
It has also been revealed that a variety of objects can be used as weapons, from swords to wood to bones, but no high-tech weapons will be available. Your skill will increase as you practice.
