DK Bongo Blast
DK Bongo Blast (also known as Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race in Japan, with "taru" being the Japanese word for barrel) is an upcoming racing game for the Wii, announced on May 9, 2006 at the E³ convention for the Nintendo GameCube, then moved to the Wii officially on September 14, 2006. It is currently unknown as to whether or not it will still use the DK Bongos.
Gameplay
Donkey Kong and his pals have gotten their mitts on some high-powered Barrel Jets – incredible engines that boost when struck by a pilot. By beating on the DK Bongos controller, players can make their character swoop up, bank side to side and launch attacks on rivals. The game also can be played using a Nintendo GameCube controller.
Players can challenge the Kremlings or up to three pals on five worlds, each boasting 3-D aerial maps filled with countless obstacles and powerful items. With four people beating the bongos as they battle for the skies, this game is more party than race.
According to the August 2006 issue of Nintendo Power, when using the bongos, players alternately must press the Left and Right Bongo Drums to move forward, and to bank to one side players must press the corresponding drum.

In addition to the aid of some screenshots, the August 2006 issue of Nintendo Power had a section relating to this game. Some levels speculated included a volcano level, a beach level, a jungle level (the first revealed level in trailers and first screenshots). One feature noted with the beach level was that there would be a part in the level where you would actually get to ride Enguarde to reach another section of the track.
