About Us - Established in 1981 by Mr Riaz Snr.

100% Acrylic

A hard wearing, resilient material that has become one of the most widespread fibres used in knitwear today. This fibre comes in many forms, and can be tweaked to suit many uses. (Low-pill for schoolwear, marl or melange twists for value-added effect, or plain colours for budget, quick turnaround lines). Can also be brushed to give a lofty, super-soft yarn.

50% Cotton / 50% Acrylic

Has become the default fibre for UK High Street use over the past decade or so due to its price. Is available as either a ringspun yarn for premium product, or as a regenerated, open-end spun yarn (cotton component only) for main stream use. The vast majority of knitwear sold on the UK High Street today uses this fibre. Even cheaper than 100% Acrylic.

80% Acrylic / 20% Nylon

A relatively new fibre which is growing in popularity, mainly due to its extremely soft ‘Angora’ type loft and handle. It’s not the cheapest of yarns, but given it’s extremely good yield, we're able to offer garments in this fibre at very reasonable, commercial prices. Commonly used as a better alternative to Acrylic due to its softness and lofty handle.

50% Wool / 50% Acrylic

Predominantly used in high-value mens or corporate knitwear. Sourced from the home of fine yarns, our Italian Wool mixture is also available in a Merino quality. Can also be treated to make it machine-washable. Mixture can be altered to fall within different price points (85/15, 80/20 or 70/30 mixtures).

100 % Pure British Wool / Merino Wool

This is the product that many have tried to copy, but few have succeeded in mastering. Years of experience, knowledge and customer feedback have led to the development of one of the world’s best knitting yarns. Used to make our Wool Aran Knitwear, this yarn is unparalleled in its handle, resilience and comfort. Combined with the ability to pleat, gather and cable on our top-of-the-range knitting plant, you can rest assured that you’ll be buying a truly timeless product.
