This is a summary of
the proposed policy and does not contain the full terms and conditions of
the cover, which can be found in the policy document. It is important that
you read the policy document carefully either online or when you receive it.
Name of the insurance
undertaking
The insurer who will underwrite your policy will depend upon which one
you select. The breakdown part of your policy is underwritten by DAS Legal
Expenses Insurance Co. Ltd.
Type of insurance and cover
The Ridersure policy protects your motorcycle, comprising Comprehensive
or Third Party Fire and Theft or Third Party cover, as selected by you when
requesting the quote and itemised in your Schedule, for a period of 12
months.

Features and Benefits
Your policy includes the
following features, which are explained in detail in your policy booklet:
Section I - Loss of or Damage to Your Motorcycle
- Replacement or repair of your
motorcycle or spare parts if your motorcycle, accessories or spare parts
are lost, stolen or damaged. This does not apply if Third Party Only cover
has been selected.
Section II - Liability to Third Parties
Your legal responsibility
for:
- Death or injury to other persons,
unlimited amount.
- Damage to other persons property
up to £20,000,000.
- Legal fees and expenses -
Restrictions apply, please see the policy wording for details.
Section IV - Emergency Treatment
- Cover for emergency medical
treatment.
Section V - Continental Use/Compulsory Insurance Requirements
- Cover when you are visiting any
country that is a member of the European Union providing the period of the
trip does not exceed one month. For any other period or country contact
your insurance intermediary.
Significant or unusual Exclusions or Limitations
The excess you must pay is shown on your policy schedule.
Exclusions Under Section I - Loss of or Damage to Your Motorcycle:
- Loss of value after a repair,
damage to tyres from braking, punctures and cuts, loss of your motorcycle
by deception, loss or damage if left with the keys in or on the
motorcycle.
- Loss or damage to accessories or
spare parts by theft if your motorcycle is not stolen at the same time.
- Loss or damage to helmets,
protective clothing and other personal belongings.
General Exceptions:
- Being airside on any airport or
airfield premises.
- Earthquake, riot or civil
commotion outside of Great Britain, the Isle of Man or the Channel
Islands, hire of the motorcycle, carriage of substances that require a
licence, radioactive contamination, war risks and terrorism.
- Anyone driving your motorcycle
that is disqualified from driving or does not hold a relevant driving
licence.
- Loss of use, reduction in value,
wear and tear, or mechanical, electrical or computer breakdowns, failures
or breakages. (See Section I)
- Loss of value following a repair.
(See Section I)
- Any claim arising from acts of
terrorism except where required by the Road Traffic Act. (See Section II)
Exclusions
Inappropriate use (see Section VI of the Policy Booklet "General
Exceptions")
- We will not pay for any accident,
injury, loss or damage that occurs while your motorcycle is being used for
a purpose not shown under the "Limitations As To Use" section of your
certificate of insurance or while it is being ridden by any person not
described in your certificate of insurance as entitled to ride.
Duration of Policy
The policy will remain in
force for 12 months from the date of commencement, or as otherwise shown on
your policy schedule.
Right to Cancel
You will have the right to cancel your policy during a period of 14 days
after the day of purchase of the contract or the day on which you receive
your policy documentation whichever is the later. A full explanation of your
cancellation rights can be found in your policy booklet.
How to Claim
The telephone number to which a claim must be notified will be supplied
as well as details regarding how to make a claim on a Claims Information
Sheet.
Complaints
Any complaint you may have should in the first instance be addressed to
your Insurance Intermediary. If the complaint is unresolved then you should
contact Ridersure. If your complaint relates to the insurer then you will be
advised and given full details on how to contact your Insurer.
If the complaint is still not resolved then you may be entitled to refer
your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Referral to the Financial
Ombudsman will not affect your right to take legal action.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme
We are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). If we
were unable to meet our obligations you may be entitled to compensation from
the scheme, depending on the type of insurance and circumstances of any
claim.
