Q. What happens
during a Crystal Healing?
A. The client lies fully clothed
on a comfortable massage couch, and small crystals are placed on and around
the body. If necessary, crystal healing can be done sitting down on a
chair. A treatment lasts for around an hour.
Q. What does it feel like?
A. There is no physical touch during
the healing, although some people feel various sensations, which are as
a result of energy shifting. Most people find the healing very relaxing,
and fall asleep, or go in to a light meditative state. Some people feel
warmth, or slightly cool in places. No two crystal healing sessions are
the same.
Q. Is Crystal healing a new therapy?
A. Crystal healing may appear to be a new therapy, but
man has had a fascination with crystals and gemstones throughout the ages.
Stone Age man wore crystal jewellery and talismans. The Romans in particular
used crystals for healing a range of ailments.
Q. How does
it work?
A. Although crystals may appear to be just attractive
pieces of stone, there is a lot more to them than meets the eye. Our modern
world relies heavily on crystals; computers, car engines, lasers and even
space shuttles all have components made from them.
Crystals have a perfectly regular internal structure, which makes them
ideal at storing and releasing energy. Like all living things they also
have an energy field, and vibrate at a certain frequency. The scientific
world is not sure exactly how it works, but by introducing crystals with
their perfect balanced energy into the human energy field it provides
a pattern for self- healing.
Q. What does
the medical profession have to say about Crystal Healing?
A. The NHS website has a section on Crystal healing.
It explains how a person's health is affected by the electro magnetic
field around the body, and how this can be brought back in to balance
by using crystals. It says that crystal healing can be of use in a wide
variety of circumstances alongside allopathic medicine.
Q. Does it still work if I'm sceptical?
A. Crystal Healing is successful on people that don't
believe it will work, what's important is that the person wants to get
better.
Q. Are there any side effects to
healing?
A. As with many other types of complimentary therapies
something called a 'healing crisis' can be experienced. This is a positive
sign as it shows that the body is ridding itself of toxins and has begun
the healing process. This can include minor symptoms such as colds, and
headaches, or can be felt as an emotional release as the person lets go
of old feelings.
Q How many treatments would I need?
A. This depends on the individual, although improvements
will be felt after just one session, a course of treatments is usually
recommended.
