Karen is a good teacher, the best teachers are those which embody what they teach and make learning easy and fun. Karen has a calm approach and lots of patience. She inspires confidence and the desire to know more.

 

She gives criticism constructively, indeed this is one of her greatest strengths.

 

It is her honest approach with a real drive to improve understanding between horse and rider, but if choosing i am sure she would speak for the horse, the rider can already do this themselves.

 

 

Her criticism is always fair and she is more likely to help your strengths and progress, having a very positive tone used for praising the horse and rider which you cant help but respond to with pleasure and joy.

 

She is reliable, always arrives when she says or letting you know well in advance if needing to alter arrangments. she is very professional and she is able to set tasks while being challenging , she is capable to achieve. Karen is also very capable to put aside any personal issues and focus. She has humility, never pretending to know all the answers, working from the heart not the eyes.

 

 

She treats you like an adult avoiding being controllling but allowing equality rather than disempowering by taking over. She can remember when she was learning these skills herself so she has empathy and understanding for any strong emotional issues which emerge, and is human enough to show this giving her greater credibility. She allows you to learn from your mistakes and self corrections, building on existing skills.

 

Karen is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience which makes her qualified to teach.
