Birds of the Water's Edge
Although none of the estuaries along the northern coast is large by UK standards, they each support a good range of waders, wildfowl and o ther birds. Newtown is a National Nature Reserve, and together with the Yar estuary hosts a significant population of black-tailed godwit.
