This was the first "Dad's Army" Annual I received as a Christmas present from my parents (December 1973). I was five years old at the time! It must have been good because my Dad borrowed it and I didn't see it for the best part of six months.

The book illustrations are a vast improvement on the 1973 edition and again, colour photograph's are used to illustrate the front and rear covers, this time from the television series rather than the movie. Unlike her non appearance in the TV series, Mrs. Mainwaring makes an appearance in the story "Mum's Army" - not to be confused with the TV episode of the same name from 1970!
