In
1965, several years after his peak, Tony Hancock returned
to the recording studio to recreate another two of his
finest TV Half Hour's for record release, this time, with
his much missed co-star Sidney James. The result turned
out to be his last professional engagement with Sidney
James.
As
with a few years earlier, Clive Dunn made another appearance
on a Tony Hancock album, although this time he was uncredited,
his voice is unmistakable in both programmes. Clive appears
in "The Missing Page" as the librarian
at the British Museum who uncovers the final copy of "Lady
Don't Fall Backwards" .
In
"The Reunion Party", Clive recreates
the role he played in the original TV "Hancock's
Half Hour" episode several years earlier as Hancock's
old war comrade Ginger.
