These splendid rare images of the Dad's Army cast recording Dad's Army March and What Did You Do In The War? and the demo disc labels were provided by David Noades

With the release of the Dad's Army feature film in 1971, EMI records opted for this single release for Christmas that year featuring Dad's Army cast members.

Present at the recording were Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, James Beck, Arnold Ridley and Ian Lavender.

The Dad's Army March is a delightful rendition of the tune which appears in the feature film but completed with lyrics.

The flip side "What Did You Do In The War", gives the characters solo parts with accompaniment by chorus. This does not feature in the Dad's Army film.
