We are delighted to have been awarded £175,000 from Sport England, through England Hockey This funding will help us to achieve a superior, sand dressed pitch with raised fencing. A campaign has been launched to secure at least £280,000, co-ordinated by a fundraising committee and involving all members and supporters of the club. If enough funds are raised we also aim to improve the car park and access road and draw up plans to refurbish the clubhouse and upgrade the changing rooms. The club will secure a loan of £150,000 and has set a target of at least £32,000 to be raised through sponsorship, fundraising events, donations and other efforts. The work must be carried out by the end of summer 2006 to meet Sport England criteria – so we need to act URGENTLY!
1. Do you and/or your family anticipate using the club facilities beyond the next 12 months? 2. Are you willing to support any fundraising efforts, eg sponsor any individual event, attend a function, buy or sell raffle tickets? 3. Will you donate a raffle prize? 4. Would you be willing to organise an individual sponsorship, eg when you take part in a race, parachute jump, marathon bean bath etc? 5. Would you be willing to help organise an event on behalf of your team? 6. Would you be willing to join our club fundraising committee? 7.
