Formby Hockey Club offers coaching for all age groups.
Formby Hockey Club play at the Astroturf pitch at Formby Cricket, Hockey and Squash Club located at Cricket Path off Green Lane by St Peters Church. The Club runs mens teams , junior teams and Ladies teams. The mens 1st team is one of the top teams in the north west playing in National League North Premier.
The Club offers a great opportunity for young and old to take part in sport whether at the top level or more socially in the lower teams.
Formby have had a strong youth policy for many years and some of our top players have represented England at various levels.
If you are interested in trying the sport, please feel free to attend coaching sessions at the Club . Equipment can be provided. If you want your children to try the sport, with all the benefits that provides, please attend the junior Sunday morning coaching sessions, 10am to 11.30pm. Girls and boys are invited from 6 to 15 years of age. Sticks are provided for beginners The Club aims to grow the number of teams at the Club and provide more games and tournaments for girls and boys. This will be achieved through the junior club training and through the newly formed Sefton Hockey Development Group which brings Clubs and schools together.
Together with the Sunday morning sessions we also offer:-
Every Thursday night 6.45pm- 8pm coaching for boys.
Tuesday 6pm-7pm for the less experienced and 7-8pm for girls
All sessions are run by qualified coaches

Each Thursday night we offer coaching for Mum's - experience is not required and equipment can be provided,
the session runs from 7pm-8pm run by qualified coaches and is followed by a social gathering afterwards.
