Jamieson Associates was founded in 1981 and has been located in its present offices in Hereford City since 1984. The practice was formed by Angus Jamieson who, having previously worked with such internationally renowned architects as Professor Arne Jacobsen, Sir Terry Farrell and Sir Nick Grimshaw, has had experience of the leading edge of contemporary architectural design.

The practice has carried out a wide range of projects over the years. These have been as diverse as a new base for the British Antarctic Survey in Halley Bay, Antarctica to the design and execution of a new distressed stained glass window. We believe our work demonstrates a commitment to the highest standards of contemporary architectural design, as confirmed in recent years by a number of architectural awards and competition successes.

We enjoy in particular, the challenge of designing contemporary buildings in sensitive and historically important locations and have considerable experience of working in conservation areas. In addition to a modern approach to design, we have carried out a number of significant restoration and conservation projects to historic buildings, working closely with both English Heritage and CADW.
