The Viscount Portman Centre for Arts and Technology at Hereford Cathedral School involved the complete refurbishment of a bland 1950s two storey flat roofed building to create new technology, art and computer rooms.

The core of the existing building was completely remodelled and a new second floor added, under a delicate barrel vaulted roof which was extended over its eastern end to create a dramatic three storey fully glazed gable, improving the qualities of light in the existing building and offering wonderful reflections of the adjoining Grade 11* Listed Buildings.
