Pressure Water Jetting |

Efficient
drainage is never a problem until it stops working. All drainage systems
need cleaning at some point in time. Scale, silt, fat and grease
inevitably accumulate, reducing capacity and flow, and can even cause a
total blockage.
High pressure water jetting is an effective cleaning technique for use
in drains, sewers and pipework systems. It can be used to remove
relatively soft silt or hard solid-set substances such as scale or
cement.

Blockages in drains, sewers and stack pipes can be
cleaned using this highly effective technique. Powerful jets of water
developing pressures of up to 4,000 psi strip deposits from pipe walls, flush
out debris and restore free-flowing conditions.
High pressure water jetting can also be used to ensure that process pipework
is clean and clear of obstructions. Naturally, when scale and residue build
up, manufacturing efficiency declines. Using specialist equipment, pressures
of up to 30,000 psi are used to cut through blockages and remove seemingly
solid deposits from pipe walls.

When
structural problems are suspected in drains and pipework
they need to be accurately identified and diagnosed. The
more accurate the diagnosis, the more accurate the
solution. That’s the philosophy behind JHS Closed
Circuit Television Surveys.
Specially developed state-of-the-art camera technology,
which produces high quality colour pictures, allows the
JHS engineer to take a ‘close-up’ look at the inside
of drains, pipes and sewers. These surveys identify the
cause and nature of blockages whilst checking for
internal conditions and pipework integrity.
The camera is propelled through the pipework by either a
semi-rigid rod or powerful tractor to distances of up to
300 metres.
Pipes with internal diameters ranging from 25mm to 900mm
can be inspected and the results used to determine the
most practical and cost-effective method of repair.
