THE
COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN (Hart)
Election '06
Hart
District Council
The Community
Campaign (Hart) - CCH, are fielding four candidates in this year's Hart
District Council Elections.
The four wards and candidates are;

What does
the Community Campaign (Hart) stand for?
- We have no
political dogma.
- We simply
want to actively represent people.
- We
are free from party politics so are able to exercise our best
judgement, on ALL ISSUES.
- We can approach each
issue with an open mind.
- We believe that best
results are achieved by people working together,
by looking for the best way forward and by being open to all good ideas.
- We believe
that to be truly effective all Councillors should work
together, as an inclusive team, and not try to score political points
off each other.
- We are
prepared to challenge when necessary.
- Above all
else, we want to do this because we care.
Manifesto
Development & Infrastructure
Building development cannot be allowed to continue on the
massive scale of the last 16 years without an increase in the roads,
education, health and recreational infrastructure for us, the people
of Hart.
In July 2005 the CCH were able to use their painstaking research
into the issues which underlie the QEB application to present a
robust set of reasons on which the Planning Committee could
refuse the application to develop 1,132 houses on the site.
Further we were able to use our detailed understanding of the
natural habitat issues to block the application to restrict access to
the Bourley Road Car Park.
Sports & Leisure
The CCH will fight ever decreasing budgets to protect and to
improve the provision of facilities for the public, especially the
younger people of the area. The CCH shall encourage external
investment funding and grants to help provide essential family
recreational amenities (both sports and leisure).
In recent months the CCH have been able to help two local youth
groups access grant funding.
Local Democracy
The CCH is at this very moment running a campaign to get over
1,000 signatures on a petition to form a Parish Council for
Church Crookham and Courtmoor. This will extend the benefit of
local democracy to the unparished areas of Hart.
Council Services
Hart is under investing in local services. Such under investment is
stockpiling serious problems for the future. The CCH will strive for
a balance between providing services today, ensuring efficient
services for the future and controlling Council Tax rises.
Unfortunately the situation has been getting worse in the last year.
The Council has been rapped with an abysmal report
by their
auditors.
With your vote, this year we hope to become part of the
majority, and at last be in a position to bring some sanity to
Hart’s financial mess.
