J. Worley (Funeral Directors) Ltd. At our premises in Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted we have chapels of rest where you can come and spend time with your loved one. These are quiet rooms where you, your family and your friends can pay your last respects to the deceased. We always endeavour to present your loved one in the most dignified and sensitive way possible. They will normally be in a restful pose in their coffin, but you can also ask for the coffin to be closed if you would prefer. Our chapels are suitable for people of all faiths, or no faith at all to come and see the deceased. Where religious symbols are present, they will always be suited to the deceased's own beliefs. Where the deceased is non-religious we will remove or cover any religious symbols prior to the viewing appointment. Below are two photographs of one of our chapels at our premises in Hemel Hempstead. In the first two pictures the chapel has been configured for a Christian person and in the third and fourth it has been configured for a non-religious person.
Where we feel that it is not advisable for your loved one to be seen in our chapel, we will advise you of this and try to offer you alternatives, however we will never prevent you spending time in our chapel with your loved one. |
