A single white dove symbolises the spirit of the deceased. We are able to arrange for you to release a dove in memory of a loved one at a funeral, whether it be at a burial or cremation, or even at the burial or scattering of cremated remains. A pair of doves is symbolic of the joining of two souls. An experienced handler will arrive with the doves and meet the family at the graveside, crematorium or other site agreed in advance. The dove will be handed to you ready for release when you wish. The dove can be released by you directly from its carrier or if you would prefer can be removed and released by hand. A dozen doves may be released at once to celebrate a life. Each dove has been extensively and knowledgeably trained to navigate back to its home once released. Please note that the safety of the doves is paramount, so severe weather conditions may not allow a release to take place. |
