 Based within the community we are acutely aware that we are part of that community and as a company have always strived to serve the people of Manchester in the best way that we can.
To this end our newsletter will reflect not only what is happening at our indoor go kart track in Gorton, but also news and events form the surrounding areas and of course nation-wide.
Karting2000 has lots of new ideas for the future not just in the karting fraternity but in the entertainment's industry as a whole. We hope you will subscribe to our newsletter, which will be updated on a regular basis.

Karting Tips
Most people who come to our track do so in a group looking for fun and something different, well karting certainly is different. Most expect the experience to be a little like driving a car; nothing could be further from the truth. Its exhilarating, fast and great fun. There are some individuals who have a need to win and take the experience very seriously however. This article is for them, but will be of use to everyone driving a kart for the first time.

Face lift
Karting 2000 runs an Educational programs for disadvantaged children who for one reason or another have been excluded form school.
Whilst our students are on their six week summer holiday our facilities are undergoing a major face lift. Dave, John Marie & Dane are putting all their efforts into re-decorating and making our workshop a nicer place to work in.
I have spoken with Dave Huggins who is one of our key members of staff to ask how things are going and he replied "Excellent, it will look great when its finished"
American visiters
On Monday the 30th July Karting 2000 had pleasure in entertaining a group of young men that were on an exchange scheme from America. The Boys were aged between 11 and 15 years old and are all involved in the local lecross teams.
Karen Robinson the organiser of the event e-mailed these comments to us;
Just to let you know that we all had a fantastic time yesterday, and I know that it will be a real highlight of the trip for many of the boys.
Can I also say that we were truly impressed with the way in which you and all the staff at Karting2000 handled everything for us. Everybody was helpful, informative and 100% professional. The whole event from arriving to us leaving was handled superbly!
I was not at all surprised that many of the parents were already discussing a return visit with a group of our own kids very soon.
Please can you pass on my thanks to Jim who my husband spoke to some weeks ago, but most particularly to yourself for everything you did for us. I know you went to extra special lengths to make everything work well and I really do appreciate it.

One day test; England V India.

Now is your chance to race for your school in the British Schools Karting Championship. After a successful launch in early 2007, the British Schools Karting Championship is to be coming to a circuit near you later this year.
The British Schools Karting Championship is an arrive-and-drive national karting championship for students aged 13 - 18. There is no need to own a kart to compete, every student simply turns up and drives.
In association with Karting Magazine and all the very best distributors and suppliers KartMania’07 promises to be the most focused karting show ever! KartMania will run from Saturday November 17th and Sunday November 18th with set up on Friday 16th and breakdown after the show on Sunday.
