Burbage Wharf Crane - Information

Constructed by Earl of Ailesbury in early 19th century from Bath stone. Wooden crane is a replica made by Bath-based Stothert and Pitt - original dismantled in early 1970s.

Bruce Tunnel - Information

509 yards long. Tunnel construction took three years, completed in 1809. Named after Thomas Bruce, Earl of Ailesbury.

Crofton Pumping Station - Information

Two of the oldest working steam pumping engines (1812 & 1845) housed building designed by John Rennie. Pump house open to the public from Easter to the end of October. Engines in steam on Bank Holidays during the summer.
