Situated in the Kennet valley, on junction of A338 and A4. Town comprises 18th and 19th century buildings. Traditionally, monarchs passing through town are given a red rose.

Early Closing: Thursday. Market Day: Tuesday. Post Office, banks, shops, railway station.
