Old Speed VW engines specialises in assembling top quality, fully blueprinted VW Type 1 motors for use in everything from factory restorations, through street racer and even the odd hill climb and drag car, too.

Here at Old Speed, we prefer to use carburettors and good, old-fashioned tuning techniques such as hand-ported cylinder heads and well-matched cams and valve gear rather than huge turbochargers etc. Period parts are also our forte, and something we’re passionate about. A well-assembled and properly spec’d Old Speed motor is always a pleasure to drive, and will provide years of reliable street and race use.
