Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays is a continually growing national voluntary organization and registered charity with more than 40 telephone helplines across the UK and parents' groups which hold regular meetings. FFLAG is dedicated to supporting parents and their gay, lesbian and bisexual sons and daughters. Gay.com is the largest gay network on the web. With sites in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, Gay.com offers an extensive network that connects the gay community globally through Gay.com Personals, lively chat, engaging content and shopping.

Pendle Life.co.uk is a portal for the Pendle area, including information for residents, businesses and visitors. The Women's Holiday Centre is in the small Yorkshire village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale. It was set up in 1980 as a charitable co-operative with feminist influences. The centre is run by a women's co-op to provide holidays for women and children on moderate or limited means. Payment is by a sliding scale according to income. Over the years, the Women's Holiday Centre has evolved into a centre for any women with or without children. Lesbians, bisexual women and straight women all visit regularly. The house offers a safe and friendly environment, where women and children can feel at home and get to know each other. The part B&B, part hostel style accommodation consist of a mix of private and communal bedrooms, plus two sitting rooms, a playroom and a large kitchen. There is a very relaxed and informal self-catering arrangement, with vegetarian and vegan food provided. Disabled access is very basic at the moment and the Centre is currently working to raise funds for substantial alterations to improve this.
Older lesbians, gay men and bisexuals face more physical and mental health problems, linked to the stress of keeping sexual orientation a secret. Age Concern have lots of information, services and resources for and about older lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in their Opening Doors project and now there is a local drop-in facility and telephone helpline available in Accrington each Wednesday from 9.30am to 12.30pm. SHOUT LGBT Youth Group The SHOUT LGBT Youth Group is a provision for young people aged 13 - 25, primarily for the Blackburn with Darwen Borough. The group runs weekly on a Sunday afternoon from a town centre location.
