Landmarc support for Pirbright Foot and Mouth outbreak

In Home Counties, well done to the team for their support in the recent Foot and Mouth outbreak. The team set up and managed the bio security measures (disinfectant drive throughs, vehicle sprays and boot washes) around the two Protection Zones at Ash and Hankley/Elstead, rescheduled troops to alternative training areas and placed all the footpath closure signs. The team also liaised with Surrey Heath Conservation about preparations for the stock introduction programme onto Ash which forms part of the SSSI improvement programme.

Activities were principally led by Emma Humphries, who unfortunately has now left Landmarc. However Emma was ably supported by members of the RDEM and TAROM teams with BAIM support from the booking cells and help desk.
