Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD has been operating since 1989 and is a private limited company. We have recently achieved the Investors in People accreditation. Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD has various policies which bring the company in line with current legislation, QMS ISO 9000 : 2000, BS EN ISO 14001 : 1996, Investors in People and general good business practices.

Environmental Policy

Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD promotes through its association with a varied client base, environmentally friendly policies wherever and whenever possible. Our unique position working with local authorities and large Mod clients means that we work closely with major landowners in Estate Management and we believe we can make a difference!

We endeavour to:

  • Make efficient use of vehicles - ensuring no more journeys than are absolutely necessary are made,grouping jobs together and linking with other clients wherever possible, thereby cutting pollution, fuel usage etc.
  • Recycle wherever possible reincorporating green waste as mulch. To recycle woody material wherever possible - cutting down on transporting and to re -use as weed suppressing mulch wherever possible to reduce landfill visits.
  • Minimise chemical use. To use cultural methods wherever possible and to promote mulches as alternate weed suppressants.
  • Promote material recycling whether batteries, tyres, metal or oils and to ensure fleet is run entirely on unleaded and diesel fuel.
  • Ensure peat is not used in hanging baskets and water retention materials are added wherever possible to help minimise irrigation and promote water retention.

Quality Assurance

Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD is a QMS ISO 9000 : 2000 and BS EN ISO 14001 : 1996 registered firm. The quality assurance manual (QMS ISO 9000 : 2000) is the means by which the company satisfies the requirements of our customers, particularly with regards to management responsibility. The system is periodically and systematically reviewed by the management and checked by quality audits both internally and externally.

It is the policy of Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD to provide products and services of the highest quality and in compliance with the customer's specified requirements. Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance LTD also strives to enhance it's reputation and capabilities in order to gain wider recognition in it's field of expertise.
