Lymington Community Association is an independent registered charity formed in 1946 to promote the wellbeing of the community of Lymington and its immediate area. The Centre is one of the largest in Hampshire and in conjunction with Brockenhurst College and the Workers Educational Association we can offer classes to suit every taste. Numerous clubs and affiliated groups meet regularly and offer a wide range of activities and we are sure that whatever interests you, it can be found here. We encourage membership and volunteering but we welcome all who visit us. Why not call in for coffee, lunch or tea? You can browse our books and magazines for sale at bargain prices and take in our friendly atmosphere. Exhibitions take place in the front display area and in the Walter Simmons Gallery. Here you can often purchase hand made crafts such as textile art, paintings, pottery, greetings cards etc. Framed prints and collectable cinema posters are sometimes also available. The Reception desk is open from 9.30 am - 4.30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 10 am - 12 pm. Call in and see us soon and we will be happy to let you know "What's On" and supply any information you need. The Centre comprises some 20 main rooms plus offices, stores etc., and members' parking, mainly at the rear of the building. The Centre is licensed as a venue for marriages and civil partnerships. Lymington Cinema, based in the Malt Hall shows films Friday, Saturday and Tuesday evenings at 7.15 pm. Some variations will apply. Pre-school and lunch club runs Monday-Friday during term time and our refreshments area serves coffees, light lunches and teas enjoyed in the garden if weather permits. |
