Lymington Community Association is an independent registered charity. It was formed in 1946 to promote the wellbeing of the community resident in Lymington and its immediate neighbourhood in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation, social and intellectual development.

The Centre is one of the largest in Hampshire and in conjunction with Brockenhurst College the W.E.A. and numerous sections and affiliated groups, offers hundreds of classes, clubs, societies and entertainment.

The Association owns and runs the Lymington Community Centre and receives no direct funds from the Local Council Authorities for this purpose. The Association is dependent upon its members, well-wishers and centre users for its income.
