So far, 2007 is looking like a year of extremes, ranging from 3.9mm falling in April to 112.7mm in July.
Luckily in North Northumberland, we have escaped the extreme rainfall that our friends in the south have
had to endure, where as much as 157mm fell in a 48 hour period. The temperatures have been pretty
extreme too, Heathrow recorded the coldest May since 1979, yet April was the warmest on record.
