A entertaining
combination match was ruined by the referee. A last
heat decider was brought back after a melee on the first
bend, after
an eternity, and after Mick Aris declared himself
unfit,and after what
appeared to be consulatation with home riders/officials,
Tom Sensicall
was excluded, which incensed not just the Leicester
management but
unbiased spectators from neighbouring tracks.
With 3 regulars in the first team the visitors promoted
juniors but it
wasn't enough to defeat the Aces who were never headed
after heat 1,
and a 7-3 was need in that non-event final heat, so no
complaints
about the Aces taking victory, just a pity it couldn't
have been
concluded on the track.
