"Quinton" |
| We
saw our first Alpacas in the early 1990’s and fell in love with
them. “Our friends used to laugh when we talked of our dream of owning
some but when we acquired land next to our home in the heart of Kent our
dreams became a reality”. |
| The
Lightfoot herd was born. |

BAS Adult Champion 2005 |
| Our
first Alpacas bought in 1997, were two young males and three pregnant
females. Now the herd consists of
over 300, both Huacaya and Suri, with stud males from Chile and Peru. |
| Although
we specialise in greys we do offer the full range of colours for sale. |
| With
many years experience we can offer practical advice. We have
deliberately kept our herd to a medium size so that we can care for the
animals ourselves. This
puts us in an excellent position to give customers a very personal
service when selecting
stock or stud males and full back up after sales advice.
Lightfoot
Alpacas are members of the BAS & BCA |
We
are also part of Accoyo Alpaca Associates.
The
Accoyo project is a consortium of established alpaca breeders throughout
the county with the sole purpose of improving the development of the
Alpaca industry by genetic excellence.
The Lightfoot herd is one
of the largest in the country. We selectively breed for conformation, size and
colour, and are currently working to produce a heavy cutting fleece with a finer
fibre.
Whether you are looking to
improve or expand your herd, or just thinking of alpacas as pets, why not pay
Lightfoot Alpacas a visit?
