The Sir Winfried Bishoff Award 2012

Being a member of the Green Achiever it has become our duty to fulfil the pledge to reduce our carbon footprint in and outside the office. To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's historic 2012 Diamond Jubilee, Lionheart has helped Woodland Trust transform bare land into a thriving forest by planting trees. This will provide ‘a lasting and meaningful tribute for many years to come’.

Becoming an affiliate organisation of Career Academies, we have supported in providing regular business and career mentoring to talented A-Level students, as well as offering 6 week paid internships. Our first student Privilege Saungweme has recently completed 9 months of mentoring with Lionheart and a 6 week paid internship.

Knife-crime seminars delivered in 12 schools across Bedfordshire

Lionheart Security Management awarded contract for specialist business and enterprise academy

Lionheart was proud to secure the contract for Corby Business Academy supplying Security Officers for the new £30 million premises at Priors Hall Park. The Academy hosts more than 1200 pupils from secondary education up to Sixth-form with state-of-the-art services and an iconic setting designed by world-renowned architects Foster & Partners. The school specialises in business and enterprise and was opened in 2009 by Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Luton Sixth form college selects Lionheart for £56million new build security

Launch of ‘Stop Knife-Crime Together Campaign’ at Europe's largest 1-day Carnival
May 2010

As well as providing security services at Luton's International carnival Lionheart launched the "Stop Knife-crime Together campaign" speaking to more than 600 people during the festivities and gathering opinions about how knives are perceived amongst the younger generation.

The campaign includes the delivery of seminars, workshops and presentations in schools, youth centres and community provisions to raise awareness about the law, social impact and risks of knifecrime in an engaging format.

Lionheart Director joins charity delegation to Malawi
April 2010

Following months of planning with local social enterprise, Unleashing Potential, Lionheart's Director - Jay Fazil - joined a Bedfordshire delegation of charity workers to dig water wells across Malawi. The project emerged from Lionhearts involvement with the Uganda project in 2009 and was focused on identifying and establishing sustainable projects in Africa which worked to address the need for clean, accessible water in rural areas. More than £10k was raised through local efforts and Jay Fazil had an opportunity to visit the sites where the work would take place and speak to locals about their needs.

Lionheart Community Crime Fighters
November 2009

Following discussions with Luton Police and Safer Luton Partnership, Lionheart security officers were cross-trained as Community Crime Fighters to work with community members on issues related to safety and security ranging from Neighbourhood Watch schemes to Drugs awareness schemes.

The governments home secretary, Jacqui Smith, praised the contribution Community Crime fighters were making across across England working with neighbourhood policing teams. Ms Smith told the Labour Party conference in Manchester that crime fighters would be ‘a local voice, a direct link’ and would ‘back up the unsung heroes who want to turn the tables on graffiti, yobs and violent crime’.

Lionheart named as official sponsor of HIV orphanage project
July 2009

Lionheart Security Management sponsored an innovative regeneration project sending 13 students from Luton Sixth form College to Uganda to help support an orphanage housing children who lost their parents to AIDS. The aim of the project was to help forge long-term links between Luton and the Residents of Jinja.


The students helped raise £18,000 with a sizable donation from Lionheart Security Management.
