Past Experience and qualifications

I initially started work as an engineering apprentice with the De-Havilland Aircraft company at the design, development and production establishments. Gaining experience of developing and putting into production a variety of complex technical systems.

I have been involved in the design, development, technical management, and production baselining of numerous systems (Test, Real/time, etc.,) in both military and for commercial applications at various national and international sites.

For the past ten years I have specialised in the development of a standardised approach to the development and management of software (DOD-STD-2167A, JSP 188, MIL-STD-498, MIL-STD-499B, RTCA/DO-178B, ISO 9001, etc.,) and have produced fully integrated software management system for several real-time software projects.

Since establishing the software development system it became apparent that very little was defined and documented on the system engineering management Tasks and process(es) thus the creation of 'Managing Standards' page.
