Engineering Program Plan

Overview

The 'Engineering Program Plan' (sometimes identified as a Project Management Plan) shall identify the activities, critical milestones, and events in relationship to Systems Engineering management and schedule control.

This data shall be described graphically in the form of PERT charts and shall identify the major activities and events required by the Statement of Work (SOW) and any RFP, WBS, SSS, if applicable.

Any planned program strategies, and build planning shall be identified in detail appropriate to the information available.

This plan shall contain the "System Engineering Master Schedule" and the "System Engineering Detailed Schedule".

Note: Specialist program plans will further detail the activities, events, and schedules in their own specialist or CI development plan.

3.1 Schedules and major milestones.

This plan shall contain the schedule(s) and identify the activities showing initiation of each activity, availability of draft and final deliverables and other milestones, and the completion of each activity.

3.2 Activity network.

An activity network, depicting sequential relationships and dependencies among activities and identifying those activities that will impose the greatest time restrictions on the project.
