GENERIC SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

As a result of the variety of government identified standards, guide-lines, procedures, etc., which define the requirements for the development of software it has become apparent that what-is needed is a common (eclectic) view on what is or has to be done.
Views taken from different countries or projects will almost certainly be dissimilar due to the historical and traditional methods and practices used.
What-is possible however is a documented management system which will combine all the best policies, principles and procedures to date which can be tailored to suit specific projects and will provide a common set of management practices and methods to be used throughout by a company or companies. (A kind of open management system)
These requirements shall be gained from the latest information available from the recognized standardization organizations, e.g., MIL-STDs, DEF STANs, etc., and their associate documents.
The article "MANAGING STANDARDS" attempts to establish an alternative by combining requirements from a variety of commercial and military standards and proposing a universal solution (policy to implementation) to the problem of managing large and complex technical systems.

Gains and benefits from enforcing standardization are enormous, if a common 'Project Management System' can be established using the internet medium. Management and control of the system and projects could be fast and recorded. 'Under construction'
