The information provided here shall provide details for general guidance on the 'Systems Engineering Detailed Schedule' (SEDS).


Overview

The SEDS is a detailed schedule of the tasks to be done to satisfy the 'Systems Engineering Master Schedule (SEMS).
The SEDS provides a activities Vs time visible display into the progress and risks involved in completing technical tasks.
The purpose of the SEDS is to support the SEMS and risk management of critical program activities.

Format

The SEDS should be prepared using a 'industry standard' Project Management Tool mutually agreed between the acquirer and supplier.
The SEDS shall show vertical and horizontal traceability Through the cost reporting system, Work Breakdown structure (WBS), SEMS, and SOW.
The scheduled activities shall be consistent and unambiguously defined. List all abbreviations and include any definitions not defined in the applicable dictionary or higher level documentation, i.e., Program Plan, System Engineering Management Plan, etc.

Content

The SEDS shall contain an integrated network-based schedule to include events and their definition, network-based detail schedules with associated higher order intermediate and summary level schedules, and periodic analyses of progress to date.
