Software Subcontractor Management Process (SSMP)
Objectives -
Because of its greater applicability across all of the projects, the Software Subcontractor Management Process (SSMP) has been prepared as part of the suite of Software Management documents known as the "Program/Project Standards".
It is offered as a tool to aid Software Project Managers through developer acquisition, control, and monitoring activities. It is not intended to replace any official regulation governing the acquisition or monitoring of developers; it is solely to be used as a guide.
This document has been prepared to meet the process requirement defined in ISO/IEC 12207/MIL-STD-498 and SEI "Best Practices" for the control of developers. The process contains preparation of a tasking statement, subcontractor selection, and management of the acquisition process.
