Technical Data Packages

A collection of product related data comprising of the EDP and non-EDP data related to the design and manufacture of the item or system.

A more definitive description is provided at Technical Data Package.

Technical Data Packages (TDP) elements and management data products shall be prepared in accordance with the Documentation Standard, as tailored and imposed by the data requirements list in contracts, etc.

Prime contractors and their sub-contractors shall impose the same requirements for preparation and management on their respective subcontractors as was imposed on them by their Acquiring organization.

Documents referenced in a TDP element shall be furnished as an integral part of that element. When first tier references do not provide the technical information required by the TDP element, subordinate reference documents shall be provided until the design disclosure requirements are met.

It is intended that the TDP requirement will be integrated into the "Documentation Standard".

However, if MIL-T-31000 is contractually quoted the it shall take precedence.
