The scale and proportions are respectful of the character of the surrounding
area as are the palette of external materials including slate roofs, hi-specification
render and masonry systems. The inclusion of sheet metal cladding and aluminium
framed glazing are incorporated to enhance the modern style. As a proposal to
replace a derelict church building on the site (now demolished) the building
re-establishes the sub-urban built form pattern, with views over the Forth +
