The Social Club is run by a committee of 15 volunteers, although we do find it necessary to employ bar staff, a doorman and a cleaner. At a time when 12 clubs a month are closing down Middleton Cheney Social Club continues to be well supported and has been able to trade at a profit for the last two years.
We believe our prices are very competetive which allows for a very affordable evening. Entertainment is varied and there is a strong following for country and western music which we accommodate for once a month.
There are also live acts and local bands on a regular basis and sports events and fun evenings, race nights etc.
We provide Bingo on a monthly basis and would like to establish a regular Karoke slot once a month if this takes off we hope to be in the position to offer prize money for the best singers.
Membership fees are £10 per year or £5 a year for senior citizens.
Entry fees when we have entertainment are currently £2 for members and £4 for non-members. If you would prefer just to come in for a drink we have a comfortable games room where there is no charge for entry. Children are more than welcome although we do ask that if they go on the dance floor after 9.30 that they are accompanied by an adult.
