With the up-to date knowledge and variety of our experience,
Mead Testing are able to offer their customers more than just a simple test house experience. We
are able to help our customers by advising them on standards applying to
their product, with insurance claims where products have been damaged (smoke, water, etc) and if a product should fail a standard or test
requirement how to resolve these issues to ensure a success.
Not all standards apply to all products and we are well
placed to offer customers guidance on which standards are
most appropriate, given the type of product, and the working environment it will face.

Our wide experience of electronic systems operation means that operational testing can usually be performed without your staff on site.

Our EMC Design and Engineering consultancy service offers our customers the differentiated value of
"front end" EMC engineering where EMC is designed into a new product at the “concept ready” or drawing board
stage and design solutions implemented. The use of first principles EMC
modelling and EMC
simulation software such as FLOEMC will greatly increase the probability of a successful EMC design.

Our Safety testing facility can carry out electrical and thermal compliance testing of electrical and electronic systems to all European and American standards (eg EN60950 ).

Our Structural Dynamic testing facility has mechanical shakers and a slip table able to handle loads of up to 400kg allowing transportation and operational vibration testing of a wide range of products. We also provide component level mechanical shock testing to MIL STD 883 Method
1002 along with bump and topple testing.

Mead Testing is able to provide much more than a testing service. Because
we are able to conduct many of the tests required to certify
electronic products we are able to offer you a "one stop
shop" solution to your certification needs. We can advise
on the most appropriate accreditation route for your product
in your chosen market, plan and implement the testing and
liaise with the appropriate bodies on your behalf. This is
often more efficient and cost effective than employing
several laboratories with your own staff co-ordinating the
activity.
