Our shaker is a Ling LDS 825 with associated G+W 16kVA amplifier. The digital control system for the shaker can apply random, sine and classical shock drives. The maximum payload is 375kg with greater than 2.2 metres of available headroom. A 750mm head expander and a 1200x750mm slip table are available. The slip table allows vibration in the horizontal plane without having to re-orient the test item.

This equipment is typically used to perform fragility analysis on PBA's and to assess the suitability of packaging solutions. It can take a payload of up to 50kg.

This is typically used for qualification level testing of small components, optical devices and sub-assemblies producing half-sine shocks up to 2500g/0.2ms.

A hoist is available that allows drop and topple tests on equipment such as racks and cabinets up to 500kg weight and 2.2 metres height.

This equipment allows a product to be mechanically and thermally stressed at the same time. The product is bolted to a table and is subjected to broadband random vibration at intensities of up to 80G. The sample is also thermally stressed by ramping the temperature at rates of up to 60C per minute over the temperature range from -60C to 125C. The severity of the mechanical and thermal stress is increased until the product fails to function correctly. Once the cause of failure has been located the design can be improved.
